Annabel Wilson

Annabel Wilson grew up in Singapore, California, Italy, Germany, Costa Rica, and Thailand, and has lived in London since 2000. Growing up in such diverse countries gave her an intense appreciation for travel and learning about new cultures.

She has an MBA from London Business School, a BA in English Literature from University of California, Berkeley and a Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA (Gemological Institute of America). Annabel worked in advertising and brand management for a number of years with clients such as Sony, Hewlett-Packard, and the Andy Warhol Foundation. After working with many corporations, she craved the opportunity to branch out into something more creative that would indulge her passion for sourcing and designing fine jewellery and her desire to run her own business. After graduating from GIA’s graduate gemologist programme in 2006, Bons-Bons Joaillerie was born. Key to Annabel’s ethos and success was full involvement in every part of the business, from hand selecting stones and materials to her personal relationships with workshops, manufacturers, and clients, to designing and overseeing design. Business has recently taken a back seat with the birth of her second child and she is now happily dividing her time between an active 3 year old, a sleepy 10 week old baby and a wonderful and supportive  husband. Areas of philanthropy of particular importance to Annabel focus  primarily on providing opportunities to underprivileged women and children through training, education, micro-finance and employment.

Climbing Kilimanjaro has always been a dream of Annabel’s, from the viewpoint of personal challenge and wanting to be a positive and strong role model for her children. Being part of the Climb 4 Freedom team is a huge honour and adds an additional layer of motivation to support a cause she feels strongly about.
