Juliet Mayhew
Juliet was born and raised in Queensland, Australia to parents who worked professionally in the global medical sector and are human rights activists. Juliet was brought up travelling with her parents on their medical and humanitarian trips and was exposed from a young age of six years to global human rights atrocities. Her exposure included working with war victims in Northern Burma, street children in Bangkok, reintegration programs for victims of the Tsunami and most recently working with teams in Sierra Leone for a small organisation giving seed funding to women, and earlier in the year accompanied Christine Caine visiting the A21 shelter, full of women and children that have been rescued from the pimps and brothels they had been trafficked into with the growing sex industry in Greece and throughout Europe.
(A cause that has gripped her heart, and has inspired the expedition – to the top of Kilimanjaro!)
She moved to England as a teenager to go to boarding school, and now resides in Chelsea, London.
Juliet is a businesswoman and has run her own luxury leather-goods company. She has had pieces showcased in outlets throughout the world including stores like Harvey Nichols and has also been featured at ‘fashion week’ accolades including being nominated for ‘young designer of the year 2005’.
She has also worked professionally in the entertainment industry, staring as the lead in various West End musicals. Juliet has written and produced, worked as a presenter and has recorded as a solo artist for 2 albums with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Here credits also include productions with The BBC. ABC, Channel 4, Portobello Pictures and Pinewood Studios.
She is now the Executive Director of a family run foundation, which exists solely to help the lowest common denominator forgotten, neglected and without hope with medical aid, training programs and mentoring!
Its work includes anything from our local London estates to child soldiers in Sierra Leone, rescuing orphans and those persecuted in Armenia, Burma, Timor Leste, Sudan and Uganda.
Her greatest achievement to date is WIFE to an incredible husband. And MOTHER to her two beautiful children.
Her DREAM in life is to End Well! And whilst here, she wants to be able to live everyday – as it were her last! She is passionate that everyone can really grasp and know they ARE worth it! THEY ARE of humongous VALUE, and that each of us have been destined for a MASSIVE purpose!
She is SO excited about the privilege of climbing alongside an amazing group of motivated ninja chicks in her climb4freedom action team while raising the profile for A21, that works against the horrors of Human Trafficking worldwide.
She says – “I can’t wait to summit together, encouraged daily by each woman’s inspiring greatness!”
